CA United Girls Qualify for Nationals

The U19 CA United girls team has qualified for the Super Clubs National Championship! Our CA girls placed first at the Super Clubs Regional tournament, held October 16th and 17th in Rockford, Ill. The team compiled a record of 3-0-1 over the weekend.

The team will travel to the Disney Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando, FL, the week of July 16 th through the 20 th, 2005. As a qualifier for the National Finals, CA United will face other top teams in their age group from the other Super Clubs Regional sites, including: Orlando, Florida; Virginia Beach, Virginia; Memphis, Tennessee; Rockford, Illinois; Mission Viejo, California; Toronto, Canada.

The team, which is currently 4-0 in the top division of the Michigan State Premier Soccer League, consists of: Laura Maltby of DeWitt, Lori Thomson of East Lansing, Jenny Cataline, Cassie Lynch and Markie McRae of Eaton Rapids, Katie Koerner, Lindsay McCarthy and Katherine Nelson of Haslett, Mia Theroux of Holt, Debby Stevens of LCC, Kristi Evans, Skye Martin, Ali Parker and Becca Stewart of Mason, Mallory Glass of Okemos, Heather Pawlowski of Sterling Heights, Meagan Hunter of St. Johns and Tammy Unsworth of White Lake. The team is coached by Dan Jury.
